Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born the 15th of June, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora or sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from journalists as well as from the press. The artist has already released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway by her, has given it some more recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was locating a keyboard at her loft, where she was attracted by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to take up music as an interest or a career. She began to write her own compositions. Her influence comes from famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to the style of Bjork. When her mother told her that her music could aid in her gaining popularity, but also help people see the importance of their music in the world and realize how they can benefit from her songs, she opted to start performing in public. The piano was her first instrument when she was just six years old, then began making music at the age of nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. The dream was never to become Aurora. Aurora says that she likes to compose songs. Music is for her the best method to convey anything.
